After last year's 4th place at the National Titles, Young North PS has committed to training both a senior and junior aerobics teams for the 2017 season. School Principal Kel Smerdon proudly noted: "both of our teams have already progressed through to the State Finals to be held in a few weeks with our senior girls placing 2nd and our junior team coming 4th". Coaches Mrs Jessica Temoananui and Holly Johnson were justifiably proud of both teams adding: "Our senior girls have stepped up this year and are meeting the demands of a more complex routine, while our junior team are following in their footsteps as they embrace the sport for the first time." Mrs Kersti Dean, parent of senior team member Jasmyne Dean, added: "It is so wonderful for our girls to have the opportunity to perform on such a big stage and for them to have such expert tuition and support at Young North PS." Mr Smerdon noted: "Our whole school is so excited to support our team as they once again represent themselves, their school and out town at the State Finals." Go girls!
