uStudents in years K-2 at Young North Public School, who have excelled according to recent data.
Recent data harvested for the Department of Education's ‘Early Action for Success' program has given Young North Public School K-2 staff much to be proud of as they exceeded tight program expectations across the entire K-2 for reading.
Deputy Principal and Instructional Leader Angela Gay commented that it is wonderful to see the results for what truly is "a school that is going places".
She added that these results are only achievable because of the school's continued investment in teacher training, effective school resourcing and genuine data driven accountability.
Principal Kel Smerdon noted: "While I am proud of our staff, I am truly not surprised and the nicest part of these results is that the data does not exclude students with a disability or support needs. No student is being left behind".
It seems the team at Young North are truly on fire, and Mr Smerdon even added: "I can't wait for my little Henry Smerdon to be lucky enough to be educated by our school's teachers."
This sentiment seems to be echoed by student enrolment data which shows that Young North Public School enrolments continue to swell.
